The Easter Camp is the first of a series of Oppidan Camps in 2018. It has been carefully designed with Common Entrance in mind for Year-7 and Year-8 students, focusing on a combination of super-curricular academics, outdoor sports, practical skills, cooking and camping. Children on the camps try their hand at a host of new skills and come away with an increased sense of confidence and perspective about their learning. We provide a safe, structured and energising environment for children, and groups are managed so that levels of ability and age are taken into account.
An Oppidan Camp is a dream week for a prep-school child. It incorporates five days of outdoor sports, practical skills, team games, cooking and camping, developed within the context of a programme of super-curricular studies. They are treated like adults, try their hand at a host of new skills and activities, and come away with an increased sense of confidence and perspective about their learning.
With our FlowRider here at Twinwoods Adventure, you can experience the thrill of catching a wave whatever the conditions.
You can do this through flowboarding – a fun and frenetic activity that’s perfect for a thrilling day out. Simulating real waves in a contained environment, our FlowRider uses pumps to fire a 10m-wide perpetual sheet wave during operation.
Snowboarding is fast becoming one of the worlds most popular adrenaline sports. It involves a descending slope on a snowboard that is attached to one's feet using a boot/binding interface. It is similar to skiing, but inspired by surfing and skateboarding.
Our Runcorn snowboarding site boasts toilets, car parking and plenty of spectator areas, whilst light refreshments will be served and available for purchase. Full training will be given to all participants.
