Oppidan Education Easter Camp

The Easter Camp is the first of a series of Oppidan Camps in 2018. It has been carefully designed with Common Entrance in mind for Year-7 and Year-8 students, focusing on a combination of super-curricular academics, outdoor sports, practical skills, cooking and camping. Children on the camps try their hand at a host of new skills and come away with an increased sense of confidence and perspective about their learning. We provide a safe, structured and energising environment for children, and groups are managed so that levels of ability and age are taken into account.

Who are Oppidan Education:

We are a mentoring and advisory firm set up in 2016 to change the expectation within education as to the value of one-on-one support. The narrative is clear: if children are able to invest in the idea of learning, there is no limit to what they can achieve.

We offer a fresh approach within the tuition market through the concept of mentoring. Self-worth, confidence and adaptability form the core objectives behind an ethos that goes beyond the prescriptive confines of exam preparation. Our mentors encourage children to realise their potential, to instil humble curiosity in their studies and to help foster independence in their work. This philosophy is reflected through Oppidan Camps, our Easter and Summer Camps for prep-school-aged children that aim to prepare them for life both inside and outside the classroom. They are evidence of the success and value in the teaching of the soft skills most important for children to develop as they grow up.

We believe wholeheartedly in the role of a mentor in a child’s development. Our philosophy continues to help children engage with the challenges ahead of them. Having people who make it their priority to nurture children and keep them grounded is of huge value in an increasingly uncertain world for the younger generation.
