Join one of our experienced tutors to explore the wonderful world of visual communication as you unravel the possibilities of graphic design. Through a series of fun and engaging workshops, you will experiment with a range of hands on materials and processes. You will develop your drawing, push your printmaking, tinker with your typography and focus on your photography. With this array of materials you will let your imagination run free and find new ways of expressing and communicating your ideas. We'll encourage you to develop your ideas through brainstorming and visual research, with an off-site visit to feed your inspiration.
Who Should Attend
This course is aimed at anyone aged 14 - 17 years with an interest in art and design, keen to explore the possibilities of working in graphics. Whether you considering pursuing further education in art or are just looking for a fun holiday experience!
Please bring the following materials with you on the first day:
A4 Sketch book
A selection of B Grade pencils
A pencil sharpener
Erasers soft and hard
Fine black felt tip
If you have one, a camera (phone with camera is sufficient)
Some money for entrance to the Design Museum on Wednesday 5th August. This will be no more than £10.
