This Music Gallery display explores the smaller keyboard instruments that, over the centuries, we have invited into our homes.

Playing house-infused jazz, funk, dance and soul music, it's the live band project of house music icon Louie Vega.

Our Natural History Gallery first opened in 1901, the design influenced by the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements of the time. Many of the original showcases remain, packed full of taxidermy, skeletons and specimens preserved in fluid, giving the gallery a unique historic feel. Most of the specimens, including our taxidermy mount of a walrus were collected over 100 years ago during the Victorian and Edwardian periods. This was a time when naturalists and collectors were exploring the globe.

It's January, the month of the new year's resolutions and, of course, the birthday of the king of comedy: Jim Carrey. To celebrate, we'll be screening a retrospective film series in ode to Jim's life on the big screen.

Most children join Gems Performing Arts as they enjoy performing and want to learn new skills, but more importantly, to shake off their shy tendencies, to grow in confidence and to interact with other children. Here at Gems Performing Arts, our classes are small and intimate.

JUNIOR DROP-INS Drop-in sessions do exactly what they say on the tin; designed to make managing your child’s busy schedule as smooth as possible, simply turn up at WTW Hyde Park on the day or book up to one day in advance for whatever session you can make. These sessions can be booked a maximum of up to one day before the desired session unless you are a Smartcard holder, which allows you to book up to 7 days before your session.

World Gallery Come and encounter cultures from across the continents in the World Gallery. Over 3,000 objects from around the world give you a glimpse into other ways of life and a greater understanding of other peoples, places and cultures. You can touch intricately tooled Tuareg metalwork, arctic seal and reindeer skin, or discover a digital coral reef at your feet. Smell aromatic herbs used by Bhutanese ritual healers in the Himalayas, listen to epic First Nations’ stories from the Pacific Northwest Coast, and even play in a Lagos market stall.
