The Annabel Croft Tennis Academy was designed whilst taking a close look at all of these methods and has settled on its own philsophy that defines each coaching session. These are particularly that players need to have access to inspirational coaching, sound technical advice, competitve opportunties and the chance each week to hit loads of balls in order to improve.
Mini Courses (Ages 4-6yrs) - Mini camps run for 3 hours every day for our younger players in the morning from 10am-1pm. They are a great way to give your child a chance to experience tennis for the first time or to have a full week of coaching to really improve their game. Each camp features coaching on a different tennis shot each day, co-ordination and balance sessions, ball skills and opportunities off court to work on tennis related activities such as designing your own tennis racket! At the end of the week all players receive a certificate of attendance with prizes given out for certain individuals!
Junior Courses (Ages 7-9yrs) - Our junior camps are aimed all abilities from beginners to regular players who are looking for a chance to push their game forward during an action packed week of tennis. Camps run from 10am-1pm each day and players cover a new area of the game each day using our academy drills, match play exercises and group coaching sessions. Junior camps are split into either beginner/improvers or intermediate/advanced groups and all players have the chance to take part in a tournament at the end of the week with certificates for everyone taking part and prizes for certain individuals!
Development Courses (Ages 10-16yrs) - The development camps are for older players who need to work seriously at an aspect of their game or who would like to try to achieve a new level of play over the course of a week of tennis tuition. All the exercises included have been specifically designed to maximise the time on court and players are asked to work hard throughout the week to achieve results. The development camps run for players from 10pm-1pm with two categories of groups - improver/intermediate and advanced/competing. Players will have a chance to experience match play throughout the week with all players asked to enter an official tournament at the end of the week with certificates for all those taking part and prizes given for the winners of the week!
Teenage Tennis Camps (ages 13-17yrs) - During certain weeks of the year, our team of tennis professionals run a specifically designed coaching camps for teenage players that are separate from our main holiday camps. The courses are aimed at the needs of older players as they move into more competitive situations, with players encouraged to work on their game, play different formats of the game (including improving their LTA rating) and making sure they have a good time and meet new like minded friends. Teenage tennis camps run from 10am-3pm onwards on selected dates at the NTC and Wimbledon Park (summer only). Players aged 13-17yrs may also sign up to our development camps if there are no teenage camps running on your chosen dates.
Elite Training Camps (age groups vary) - ACTA Elite Training holiday camps are aimed at players that are serious competitors and are looking to record a high volume of match play results to improve their LTA rating and also work hard at improving their game at the same time. Camps are generally aimed at either O1 & O2 players or G1 & G2 players (depending on dates) and feature a carefully organised itinerary of coaching including a high volume of academy drills, strength and conditioning, some basic psychology and match play advice. This is a really good package for an aspiring tennis players looking to improve their tennis over the course of a week.
