RED: Stories for Everyone

Reset, relax and read together in the Manton Studio

Bring your dreams and imaginations to our storytelling oasis for families of all ages. Discover lots of new books and exciting stories celebrating the themes found in Steve McQueen Year 3.

The books and stories you will discover in the space will be around the themes of community, identity and futures. This includes Red: A Crayon’s Story by Michael Hall, which follows the journey of a blue crayon who is mistakenly labelled as red.

Drop-in anytime to read books together or listen to readings by storytellers at story time at 11.00 and 12.00 each day.

Steve McQueen Year 3 is a massive group portrait of 76,000 of London's 7–8 year olds. Over 3,000 schools across London took part in the project. The exhibition is free to visit and you don't need to book a ticket. Find out more about the exhibition.
