Action-Packed Summer Camps

Summer Shoots are action-packed movie making summer camps for children and teenagers.

Each week is a unique, creative experience full of fun and imagination. ​Young movie makers develop their talents and skills, from both behind and in front of the camera.

During the weeklong summer camp, they produce and star in their own movie masterpiece.

Make a Movie in a Week

During the week, young filmmakers learn all about movie making.  

They work with our specialist workshop leaders in small film crews. They express their ideas and devise their own stories and scripts. Throughout the week, they direct, shoot and crew each of their scenes, where they work together as a team. Everyone taking part takes away lots of new experiences, as well as developing new skills.

The young filmmakers enjoy taking responsibility as they work just like a professional film crew. They love to take ownership over their production and shape it into something special and unique.  

 

At the end of the summer camp, the filmmakers proudly share their work with family in a special screening presentation.

Later on in the summer, we also celebrate with a fun red carpet screening event for family and friends.

Creative Learning 

All the activities are hands-on and practical. There are skill-building workshop activities. Under guidance from our team of filmmaking instructors, the crews work to produce their own movie from scratch.

The crews work at different levels, in peer age groups called ‘Studios’. The programme increases in skill level and technicality with age and experience. There is plenty of opportunity for everyone to contribute towards the different production areas (e.g. scriptwriting, acting, or editing) and grow their skills.

We welcome along any level of experience. Our team ensure everyone is working at the right level and growing their skills.
